Pastor Richard Lee

Pastor Richard has been a member of Bethany Church since his middle school years, serving as Youth Group praise leader and president. He was baptized in the same sanctuary that we worship in today. He received his B.A. from Columbia University (CC ’97) and has completed his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Also, he was a college pastor for New Church of Atlanta from 1999-2003. He has a heart for missions, serving as a field director for Saltillo, Mexico Missions from 2002 to 2007, working exclusively with native pastors. He has extensive experience in worship music, serving as a praise leader since 1989, including Jericho Falls (NJ) and Praisin’ the Raisin’ (ATL). He is ordained in the Evangelical Church Alliance.
Along with his wife, Theresa (RU ’97), son, Richard Jr (born 7/04) and daughter Chloe (born 11/06) he came to Bethany Well in August 2005. He loves watching his NY Mets, but hates watching them lose to the Yankees or the Atlanta Braves.
Andrew had the privilege of growing up in Vancouver, British Columbia, which he
considers to be the most beautiful city in the world. He studied Biology at the University
of British Columbia and upon graduation worked with Mercy Ships where he met his
beautiful wife Robin. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Bethany Well community, Andrew worked as
a Resident Director at Northwestern College, a Christian liberal arts college in St. Paul,
MN. In this position he had the privilege of leading and discipling numerous student
leaders as well as leading the Antioch Covenant Community, a living-learning
community focused on reconciliation.
As a Canadian, Andrew is passionate about hockey, particularly the Edmonton Oilers
with whom he lives and dies. But he also loves meeting new people and seeing them
come to know Jesus.

“The Open Door NJNY Inc.” will open it’s doors to the community October 4 teaching ESL and parent support groups. Would your church consider partnering with us? We are in need of volunteers 1 day per week from October 4 to first week of December. We are also in need of donated biographical books kindergarten to second grade reading level. The classes will be at West new York’s Memorial High School. It has a big municipal parking lot next to it. Please feel free to call me if you have any other questions. 212 391 2419 or cell 201 491 3693.
In Christ,
