We lost our four year old Grandaughter (our First) to a drunk driver. Heartbreaking, but we remain so grateful to have known her! God Bless your family.

My son was in the same situation as your son. I cried so much because it brought back so many memories. I cried when your other son, ran after him. My son ran from the accident, the little girl cross the street without looking, but my son fled, and the little girl died. My son was given 10 years probation because he fled. The fleeing is a normal reaction of the body, i don’t even think you know what is going on at those moments. The day of the accident, when my son told us what had happen, i fell to the floor, and said a prayer, we called the police department and turned in our son he was 19 yrs at that time. There were so many times when I thought he was not going to make it. He would just let out a big yell, fall to his knees, and would say he could not take it anymore. He would ask “why”, my answer to him was “god only knows why”, I have a brother in law who is a priest, and my son while growing up was an alter boy for about 8 years. His probation officer has been very hard at times with my son. Oh how I wish that they could only step into my sons shoes and not judge. It is something that he is going to have to live with for the rest of his life. My son is now 28, married and has a son. God has always been a part of our lives and they say that the ones who suffer are the closes to God. I feel for your son, but you also have a beautiful family, and your are all there for him. Our Loving God. God Bless you and your family. Life Goes on, and that is the beauti of it. May your daugher be the happiest on her wedding day. God Bless You All.
