Season of Lent Wednesday, 2/17 is Ash Wednesday, which begins the season of Lent. Lent is a time for us to focus on prayer and penitence as we prepare to celebrate the Passion, Death & Resurrection of Jesus. You are encouraged to fast from something Monday through Saturday starting 2/17 until 4/3. We hope you will join with us in this.
Charity: Water We will be collecting donations for charity: water during the season of Lent. We are challenging you to fast from all drinks except for water and donate whatever money you would normally spend on drinks to charity: water instead. We raised over $5,000 last year during Lent, and we were able to fund our own well. Let’s do better this year! Also, the founder of charity: water, Scott Harrison, will be coming and sharing with his LifeStory on Sunday, March 21st. Invite your friends!!
New Members Meeting We will be having a new members meeting on Saturday, March 20th, starting at 10am. Please indicate on your LINC card if you plan to attend.

In a recent sermon, P.Rich talked about Jesus’ state as he entered this earth, namely his homelessness. This got me thinking about what his life would be like if he were born in our time, in our community, in our city. What would his ministry look like in modern American, westernized society? Who would be his 12? Where would he find them? Where would he start his ministry? What kinds of miracles would he perform? And how would it end? A modern day assassination? I hope not.
